Inside the app

It does the maths for you

Log it in three taps at the pump. The app works out the rest.

Three taps at the pump

The odometer is already filled in. Type any two of amount, price and total. OdoTick fills in the third and labels it "Worked out for you", so you always know which number came from you.

  • Fuel, Charge and Cost in one place
  • The full-tank switch, explained where you use it
  • Add last week's receipt with the right date

Built for EVs as much as petrol

Log charges in kWh. Mark each one home, work or public. Then see what public charging really costs you, next to the socket at home.

Efficiency, done honestly

Full tank to full tank, the way you can check yourself. It needs two full fill-ups first. Until then it stays quiet instead of guessing.

Every cost, not just fuel

Service, tyres, insurance, roadtax, parking, tolls, a wash, a fine. Log them all, and they count towards what the car really costs per km.

Your units, your currency

Kilometres or miles. Litres or gallons. L/100km, km/L or MPG. One currency per car, set once.

Roadtax, before it bites

Reminders for roadtax, insurance, inspection and service. Pick how early to be told. Repeats move to the next date on their own.

A garage, not a list Plus

Every car gets its own colour, so you always know which one you're logging. Two cars are free. Plus removes the limit.

Nothing about your driving leaves the phone Free

Your odometer says a lot about you. OdoTick keeps it on your phone. There is no server to send it to, so we can't see it.

  • No account, no sign-in, no sync, no cloud
  • No ads, no analytics, no ad ID
  • No location. No fuel-price lookup. No internet needed.
  • Take it with you as a CSV or a backup file Plus

One number

Petrol and electric, side by side

"Charging is cheaper" is an opinion. Cost per km is a fact. OdoTick puts fuel and charging on one chart, in one colour. The darker the bar, the more it costs you. That's the whole legend.

  • Cost per km, with or without the price you paid for the car
  • What home, work and public charging each cost per kWh
  • Spend by month and by type, so a costly month has a reason

Cost per km Example

  • Charging at home 0.18/km
  • Charging at work 0.24/km
  • Public fast charge 0.46/km
  • Petrol, 95 RON 0.62/km

Example figures. Yours come from your own entries, in your own currency.

Cost per km What you spent, over how far you drove.
Efficiency L/100km, km/L or MPG, full tank to full tank.
Charging split What home, work and public each cost, per kWh and per km.
Month by month Spend by type, so a costly month has a reason.

Upgrade

OdoTick Plus

The free app tracks two cars, with no ads and no time limit. Plus removes the limit and lets you take your data with you.

Every car you drive

The free garage holds two. Plus holds as many as you like.

Cost trends

What each month cost you to drive.

Year in review

What the car cost over a year, ready to share.

Export to CSV

Every entry as a spreadsheet, for one car or all of them.

Backup & restore

Three ways to pay

Monthly, with a free trial. Yearly. Or once, for good.

Plus is sold through Google Play, and you see your local price before you buy. The monthly plan starts with a free trial. When the trial ends it becomes a paid subscription, unless you cancel first. Monthly and yearly renew until you cancel them in Google Play. Lifetime is one payment and never renews. Full detail in the Terms of Service.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Is OdoTick free?

Yes, for up to two cars, with no time limit. There are no ads at all, free or paid. Logging, cost per km, efficiency, monthly spend and reminders are all free. Plus removes the two-car limit and adds CSV export, backup, cost trends and the year in review.

Does it work for electric cars and hybrids?

That's the point of it. Log charges in kWh and mark them home, work or public. You get kWh/100km and the same cost per km a petrol car gets, so the two sit side by side. A plug-in hybrid can log both fuel and charge on one car.

Do I need an account or an internet connection?

Neither. No sign-up, no login, no cloud. The app works offline, which matters at a rural station or in a basement car park. It only uses the network to check or restore a Plus purchase through Google Play, and to send a crash report if it crashes.

What data do you collect about me?

Nothing about your driving. Your cars, entries and reminders never leave the phone. No ads, no ad code, no analytics. Two services do get something, and neither gets your data. Anonymous crash reports go to Firebase Crashlytics. If you buy Plus, a purchase receipt goes to Google Play and RevenueCat. Full detail in the privacy policy.

How does it work out fuel efficiency?

Full tank to full tank: the distance between two full fill-ups, against the fuel it took. You can check it with a calculator. It needs two full tanks before it shows anything. Until then it shows nothing rather than a number it can't stand behind.

Can I use it for mileage claims or tax?

Not as an official record. There's no trip logging and no mileage-claim feature, and every figure comes from what you typed. Use the CSV export as a starting point, check it against your receipts, and follow the rules that apply to you. See the terms.

Will it remind me about my roadtax?

It nudges you early, again on the day, and a few times after that. But it's a convenience, not a guarantee. The dates are the ones you typed. Android can also delay or drop a reminder, depending on your battery settings. Keep whatever you already use for a deadline with a fine attached. See the terms.

How do I move my data to a new phone?

With Plus, save a backup file from Settings and restore it on the new phone. Your data only exists on your phone, so that file is the only copy. Keep it somewhere safe.

What happens to my data if I uninstall the app?

It's deleted with the app. We have no copy to restore, so export a backup first if you want to keep your history.

What happens to my cars if my Plus subscription ends?

Nothing is deleted, ever. Every car, entry and reminder stays, and the app keeps tracking. You can still read and export what's there. You'll be asked to unlock Plus again before adding a third car.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Google Play manages subscriptions, not us. Open Settings → OdoTick Plus in the app, or go to Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. Cancelling stops the renewal. Plus stays on until the period you paid for ends. Uninstalling the app does not cancel anything.

I bought Plus but it's not showing up.

Tap Restore purchase on the OdoTick Plus screen. It asks Google Play what your account holds. A purchase belongs to the account that bought it. If it still doesn't appear, email us.
